As a school, participating in the I Inspire Project will help to empower students to stand up and make a difference. As an individual, participating in the I Inspire Project will commit you to your words. Students ( and adults) will begin to see themselves as change agents, and the sense of being able to make a difference will awaken within them.
Participating is easy. How much or how little is entirely up to you, but anything you do will help.
Step 1:
Target a group of students that you want to empower.
Step 2:
Ask them what they can do to “inspire others”, record their responses,
and share with the world. One of the
best ways to do this is with a whiteboard.
If you have a twitter account you can tweet them to @iinspireproject or
#iinspireproject (Don’t have permission
to share a student’s photo online? Just
share their message!) You can also email themiddleschoolcounselor@gmail.com and have them posted here.
Step 3:
Hold an I Inspire Day in February during World Kindness Week (Feb. 16th
-20th).
Step 4: Share your ideas with how you and your students inspire others. Once again, send me those ideas so we can post them here!
How will you inspire someone?
